Separations
SLIP Sick Leave Insurance Program
Turnover happens. People find other jobs. They move to a new location. They retire. Occasionally someone is terminated by the employer. And sometimes, they pass away. All of these actions create vacancies and represent some sort of change in the workplace. It is the “change” part, the part that could potentially affect service delivery, that drives the activities associated with turnover.
This section identifies those activities. They should be considered in concert with the actions described in other sections on this website on “Hiring Resources” and “Knowledge Transfer.”
Numerous tools and resources have been developed by DAS-HRE to assist you with the various processes and details that need to be addressed and hopefully reduce some of the stress these changes may generate. As a group, they address the various aspects of dealing with turnover.
