Iowans Helping Iowans:
Together We Can Make A Difference

100% of All Donations Will Go Directly to the Charitable Agencies of Your Choice

The One Gift Campaign is an opportunity for State of Iowa employees to contribute to participating charitable agencies through payroll deduction.  Donated money stays in Iowa, where it helps our neighbors, friends, and family members.

Over 400 charitable agencies benefit from One Gift donations.  These agencies offer much-needed assistance to Iowans in virtually every city and rural area in the state.  You can specify which charitable agencies will receive your One Gift donation and direct your donation to specific communities in the state.

A Message from the Governor and Lt. Governor

Dear Fellow State Employee:

It goes without saying that 2009 has been a year of challenges for many Iowans. The worst economic recession since the Great Depression has affected all parts of our country – including Iowa – and, as a result, many people in our state are feeling its effects.

As state employees, it is our responsibility not only to serve our fellow Iowans, but also to do what we can to help those who are in need. That is why, during these difficult economic times, I am asking you to participate in the One Gift Campaign. Many charities have been hit hard by the economic downturn, and the One Gift Campaign provides a simple, easy way to give back. The 2010 One Gift Campaign begins today, October 1 and continues through October 30.

Your pledge is deducted automatically from your payroll and is given to the charity or charities of your choice. 100% of your contribution goes as you direct, with no administration fees withheld. So, Governor Culver and I encourage you to make One Gift a priority for your annual giving.

In an effort to be more “green,” we are not printing pledge cards or booklets again this year. Instead, if you wish to contribute, study the list of not-for-profit agencies, many of which have a link to their websites; print a copy of the pledge form; and return the form to your department’s One Gift Liaison. For employees who have no internet access, alternate arrangements have been made to collect pledges; please contact your department Liaison for more information.

If you have any questions, please contact your department's Liaison. Thank you for your support of this very important Campaign. Together, we can make a difference.

Sincerely,

Patty Judge
Lt. Governor

2010 Campaign

In nearly every county, there are a number of not-for-profit agencies providing a variety of services to all Iowans.  In this time of great need, state employees are challenged to make a difference.  This year’s campaign goal is $511,211.

The One Gift Campaign will be held from October 1, 2009 through October 30, 2009.  A contribution is made through the convenience of payroll deduction – either as a one-time deduction from your first paycheck in January or as multiple deductions spread throughout the year.

To make a pledge, simply complete the One Gift pledge form from this website, print it, and submit your signed form to your One Gift Liaison.
