Human Resources Enterprise (HRE) Diversity Council

Executive Order Four, issued by Governor Culver, created a state Diversity Council to review policies, procedures, and practices related to diversity in state government and develop recommendations for improvements.

Diversity Training for all state employees, as outlined in Executive Order Four, is currently being offered through the Training Team of the Department of Administrative Services – Human Resources Enterprise.

Current Events

The Diversity Council would like to thank Senator Tom Harkin for his work on Senate Concurrent Resolution 26, an Apology for the Enslavement and Racial Segregation of African-Americans.  The Council is pleased that the State of Iowa had a hand in crafting this Resolution.
