Employee Discount Program
Guidance and Frequently Asked Questions
The Employee Discount Program (EDP) for State of Iowa employees allows you to save money on purchases with discounts on computers, cell phones, hotels, flowers, jewelry, clothing, gifts, restaurants, and more! You’ll find valuable offers from your favorite merchants, including Apple, Target, Costco, Disney World, Dell, Verizon, and AMC Theaters. You’ll also find discounts from local and statewide businesses. For more detailed information, please access the employee discount Guidance and Frequently Asked Questions document which is intended to assist all employees.
The EDP is administered by PerkSpot, a company that manages employee discount programs for a variety of employers. Most merchant pages on the PerkSpot Web site provide information about how to receive the state employee discount.
Please contact the merchant for any specific questions or concerns and for all customer service functions. Employees and merchants can click here to email comments or suggestions to PerkSpot.
To Get Discounts
Follow Internet use policies policies regarding the use of State computers. You should access PerkSpot away from work.
To take advantage of the Employee Discount Program, create an account with PerkSpot using your personal email address at www.perkspot.com/register.aspx. See your Personnel Assistant for the company code. You will then receive a confirmation email with login instructions.
After you have created your account, you can log in at www.perkspot.com/login.aspx to see all discount offers available to State of Iowa employees. Most discounts at this time are for online purchases only, but as the program evolves and more discounts are added, more on-site discounts may become available. If the discount is accessible online, the merchant page on the PerkSpot Web site should provide a special link or access code that you can use to obtain a discount.
Merchants’ requirements to receive discounts may vary and can include coupons, flyers, and/or presentation of your State of Iowa Employee ID card. Employees must contact the discount merchant for any proof of employment requirements, typically a pay stub or state ID. Some merchants may include retirees in their offers. If you do not have any identification at the time of purchase, the merchant may not honor the discount.
If you experience any difficulties with any discount or service, please contact PerkSpot by sending an email to help@perkspot.com.
