Depending on your profession, you may be required to participate
in ongoing learning activities to maintain your certification, license,
or professional skills. Many times, the PDS courses and workshops
are eligible to count towards your continuing education requirements.
Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
Each year PDS applies for accreditation of continuing legal education
(CLE) activity for a variety of scheduled training sessions.
Workshops that have been approved have been assigned an activity
number. This approval means that time spent in continuing legal
education activities incorporated in the accredited program
may be credited against the continuing legal education requirement
for attorneys of fifteen (15) clock hours per year, established
by Rules 41.3 and 42.2 of the Iowa Supreme Court.

Continuing Professional Education
(CPE)
Every three years, all accounting professionals are required to
complete 120 hours of continuing professional education (CPE).
Upon request, PDS will issue a letter certifying completion of
an applicable PDS learning program. This letter along with an
outline or description of the learning program should be maintained
by the participant, as it may be requested by the Iowa Accountancy
Examining Board to verify CPE credits reported.
